Data Pulse Tech builds Software solutions, AI models, and security solutions for federal agencies and defense organizations. We’re based in Ashburn, Virginia, and we work in secure environments, the kind of places where security isn’t optional. Our company maintains CMMC Level 1 compliance for contracting work. Data Pulse Tech is also a Virginia-certified small business (SWaM) and a USGIF small business partner, credentials that reflect both our roots in the Commonwealth of Virginia and our commitment to the GEOINT mission community.
Meet our Team
Joe Chlanda
President
Joe Chlanda started Data Pulse Tech in early 2024, after nearly two decades of building software, including ten years for the federal government and the intelligence community. Before DPT, he led engineering teams and ran DevSecOps across multiple federal agencies, with earlier technical leadership roles at DreamHost, Raytheon Cyber, and Occam’s Razor Tech. He also co-founded Nova Code Solutions LLC, a small software shop that worked in the DC metro area from 2018 to 2022. Most of his career has come down to the same handful of things: leading engineers, hardening systems, and shipping software in secure and classified environments.
He built DPT around a simple idea: keep the people who sell the work close to the people doing it. Joe is still hands-on, writing code and staying on contract right alongside his team. Bring DPT a software, DevSecOps, or cybersecurity problem, and you’re working directly with the people solving it, with the right talent matched to each role instead of every job forced into one mold. No layers, no telephone game between you and the work.
The mission focus is personal. Joe’s grandfather lied about his age to enlist at just sixteen years old, served in World War II and again in Vietnam, and came home with a chest full of medals, a Purple Heart among them. The two were close, and Joe still thinks about him often. That sense of service, showing up and doing the hard thing because it matters, is the bar he holds DPT to for every customer and every mission behind them.
